Beam Camp welcomes you to our first Try it Day event of the Fall at Beam Center! Join us for some spooky Oobleck monster making and harvest-themed nature prints made with real fruits and vegetables! Participants will be able to take their creations home, and will learn about Beam Camp while they are with us for our workshop. Light refreshments will be provided.

In an effort to remind us of our interconnectedness, Uniqlo is creating a new T-shirt line, ‘PEACE FOR ALL’ reflecting the impact of decorated astronauts Leland Melvin, Sian Proctor, and Gary Lai to show the importance of building towards a brighter future.

Beam Center is excited to collaborate with Uniqlo to offer young people 12 and up the opportunity to explore their interest in space while dreaming big through this fun hands-on postcard making activity. Youth will create personalized postcards that will be sent to space emphasizing imagination, the importance of dreaming big, and our relationship to the cosmic world.

Join us at Uniqlo 5th Avenue on October 5th from 9-11AM as we create for the future, hear an inspiring talk from Leland Melvin, and get a free t-shirt celebrating the Uniqlo ‘PEACE FOR ALL’ t-shirt line! 

Beam Camp will be at the Coney Island Maker Faire running a stained glass table. Come see amazing creations, talk to inventors and crafters, watch exciting demos and talks, find new ideas and take awesome workshops! We will be there from 11:00 AM until 5:00 PM!

Attractions will be spread all around Coney Island in the Ampitheater, the New York Aquarium, and Maimonides Park. You can also take time to enjoy the boardwalk and enjoy the sights of Coney Island. Tickets and more info are available here!

Join Beam Camp at the Westfield Memorial Library For New Jersey Makers Day on Saturday, March 22nd 2025! Participants will be invited to learn stained glass and create their own piece to take home.

This workshop runs for two hours and is intended for families with children aged 7+ We will be working with soldering irons and materials that require care and attention by the user.

Beam Camp will be at the Kenilworth Public Library teaching participants how to create earth-friendly confetti launchers! We will be creating small confetti launchers out of household objects, and cutting shapes out of biedegradable confetti paper. Every participant will take home their own unique launcher and confetti.

Workshop is for ages 7-12, and will take place at the Kenilworth Public Library, 548 Boulevard, Kenilworth, NJ 07033. To register for the workshop, call the library at 908-276-2451.

We will be tabling at the St. Ann & the Holy Trinity Church from 12pm-3pm on Saturday March 8th. Swing by to say hello to some of our camp staff, participate in a tabletop activity, and learn more about Beam Camp.

Join Beam Camp at the Brooklyn Museum on Sunday, January 26th 2025! We will be partnering with the Brooklyn Museum to celebrate their Brooklyn Artists Exhibition and give participants a chance to make their own Brooklyn-born masterpieces inspired by the 200+ works of art on display in the museum, all created by local artists. Participants will be invited to learn stained glass, mosaic, and contribute to a collaborative crochet project.

Beam Camp is coming to Cranford, NJ! On Saturday, January 4th, join us at the Cranford Public Library for a stained glass making workshop. Together we will design and create beautiful stained glass creations using multicolored geometric glass pieces, soldering irons and copper wire. Can’t wait to see what you create!
